BIENVENUE À L’IMMIGRANT is a non-profit organization which the primary purpose is to welcome and help immigrants and refugees whatever their country of origin. We are a group of people from different origins, all united to help each other and ensure better integration of newcomers to Canada.
Through our structure, the immigrant has the opportunity not only to obtain the necessary information to facilitate his integration, but also to make himself known and to be accepted throughout the community in order to fight prejudices.

I came to Canada, from Cameroon in 2004 and I founded Bienvenue à l’immigrant- Lasalle, in 2017. The main objective is to help build blossoming cultural communities, including all their differences, as for me they are such a blessing. I want to fight prejudice, and help new immigrants feel like they are belonging, like they are included in their new environment. Lastly, I want to start a wave of mutual aid, where our differences will be opportunities for new discovery. To develop living together… thus the motto of our association: BAI, our future together.
Born in Adobo-Kpoguédé, in Togo, Engineer (Bachelor degree in construction engineering from l’ÉTS), I came to Canada on September 28, 2012. I chose to volunteer with BAI for several reasons: to be a part of those who work to get things better; pour help others and contribute to the collectivity wellness; to reinforce my self-esteem and the one of others; to help in the positive change of my community; finally, to help new immigrants familiarize with the Quebec work environment, help them integrate in their new communities and help fight prejudice.
Born in Ivory Coast, I came to Canada in 2002. I am volunteering with BAI since its beginning because I am convinced that an immigrant who receives support and good advice can make a difference.
My passion for international studies and cultures of the world led to me flying to Belgium as a foreign student and then to Louisiana in the United States as a teacher and part time student, from my native Yaoundé in Cameroon. I chose Canada as my permanent home in June 2000. BAI allows me to give back to those immigrants facing the same challenges I had regarding my resettlement and integration in my new community and my new country Canada.
Born in Cameroon, in Central Africa, I came to Canada on May 6, 2017. My motivation in volunteering with BAI is to help others and share.
Born in France, I came in Canada in 2004 to study. I am volunteering with BAI, to help new immigrants feel comfortable in their new community, so they can live to their full potential. Sharing amazing moments with new people, new cultures is also very important to me!
